Wealth, like a tree, grows from a tiny seed.
As noted by one of the citizens of the Babylon in a “The Richest Man in Babylon”.
The first copper you save is the seed from which your tree of wealth shall grow. The sooner you plant that seed the sooner the tree grow. And the more faithfully you nourish and water that tree with consistent savings, the sooner may you bask in contentment beneath its shade.
This even holds true in current times, and there are multiple ways of investing even a change using smartphone apps like “Acorns”. You can plant the seeds with the amount as low as possible, but if your nurture it well, it can grow into a substantial amount and become a tree in few years. The richest man in Babylon recommends saving at least 10% of your income every month and then use it to make even more as we explained in our previous post from the book.
